Joz “Jaws” Sida is a longtime political strategist and educator — and yes, a comedian too. A native of East Los Angeles, Joz found her voice on stage, mic in hand, sharing stories drawn from her life, culture, and community. Known as the Mexican Carmen Sandiego, she’s toured her sharp, story-driven stand-up across the country, from Los Angeles to New Orleans, Las Vegas to Philadelphia, and now Chicago.

Performing in both Spanish and English, Joz captivates audiences with her quick wit and fearless storytelling. Now crowned La Cabrona of Comedy, she regularly performs at the Ice House and Laugh Factory and tours nationally alongside comedy heavyweights like Paul Rodriguez, Jimmy Shin, Irma Ruiz, Tom Arnold, Gwen La Roka, and more.
